Maqando Fudu Tavern in Kwazulu-Natal recently won the title of Smirnoff Raga Bolo Champions 2016, along with the R 100 000 cash prize.

"The road to victory wasn’t easy for the team as it was paved with many challenges," comments Captain Nkanyiso Mishack Mcanyana. “We had to fight hard to represent our province and perform at our best in order to beat those who were more knowledgeable than us about soccer,” says co-player Njabulo Maurice Bengu. Maqando Fudu Tavern player Dhakamani Mcanyana advises other people wanting to take part in tournaments such as Smirnoff Raga Bolo to always play as a team and know that you can reach your dream. The men are still pursuing their soccer dreams, and are putting their winnings towards both their soccer and educational needs. Maqando Fudu Tavern Owner, Ngecebo Fakazi, says that he is incredibly proud of how the team performed. "They have made the Maqando Fudu Tavern famous all over the country!
